Who is the course for:
This course has been designed to help groups reflect on community development and become more effective in terms of leadership of their organisation and the broader community.

Outline of course content:
Groups can choose from at least one of the following units:
• Communication and Negotiation: Managing Conflict and Negotiations
• Community Organisation
• Fundraising
• Leadership
• Understanding Communities

Course aims:
The course aims to explore and improve community development practice for those involved in community development.

Possible progression routes:
At the end of the course participants will be offered the opportunity to explore what UPC programmes would be of interest to them.  Many participants progress to OCN Level 3 in Community Development or OCN Level 3 in Community Relations.
